Job Overview
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Front Office Associate for a part‑time position Monday‑Friday, 5:30 pm–10:30 pm. The role includes patient greeting, registration, phone support, scheduling, insurance verification, and general front‑office duties. Pay ranges from $16.09 to $23.27 per hour based on experience, with Daily Pay available for eligible employees during the initial set‑up period.
Responsibilities Registration (55%)- Greet and check‑in patients scheduled for imaging services, process payments and co‑pays.
- Answer phones and handle calls efficiently and friendly.
- Field phone calls appropriately for Center Team Members.
- Act as liaison between imaging technologists and patients, relaying scanner status and clinic information.
- Maintain front‑office lobby organization by arranging magazines, coffee supplies and general cleanup.
- Order office supplies as needed.
- Maintain a supply of patient information sheets.
- Push patient imaging via electronic interfaces.
- Complete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions.
- Fax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested.
- Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate.
- Enter and submit patient exam orders.
- Verify patient exam orders match exam schedules.
- Schedule referrals and ensure proper authorizations are obtained.
- Schedule walk‑in patients.
- Process requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date accurate database of all current and potential referring physicians.
- Verify patient’s insurance coverage.
- Pre‑certify all patient exams with the insurance company.
- Obtain insurance authorizations.
- Apply knowledge of insurance carriers (e.g., Medicare) and procedures that require waivers for pre‑authorization before appointments.
- Facilitate Release of Information (ROI) requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys, and insurance companies following company guidelines.
- Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of customer service experience.
- Proficient in using computer systems and typing.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel.
- Previous medical office experience.
- Medical terminology and office background knowledge.
- Insurance knowledge.
- Bilingual proficiency.
