Community Support Staff / In-Home Supports (IHS) – Eagan, MN
Provide personalized in-home and in-community services to support and develop individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist with daily activities, skill development, and transportation, ensuring independence and safety.
Job Description• Must be a valid driver with acceptable driving record, auto liability insurance, and a reliable vehicle (30‑mile radius) for transporting person‑served.
• This role is not a residential group‑home setting.
• Wage Range: $19.50/hour (may vary based on experience and skills). Mileage reimbursement offered.
Responsibilities- Assist individuals in a 1:1 in‑home and in‑community setting supporting a happy, healthy, and more independent life.
- Assist with daily activities such as personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry while fostering independence.
- Maintain a clean, safe space that supports individuals’ personal goals.
- Provide skill development in community participation, health, safety and wellness, household management, and adaptive skills.
- Accompany person‑served on errands and appointments, budgeting, and integrate into social events.
- Attend team meetings, write progress reports, and assist supervisors in maintaining consistency in service provision and communication with support team members.
- Mentor and encourage individuals to reach their goals, creating lasting positive impacts.
- Must be at least 18 years old (or 21 depending on person‑served).
- High school diploma or GED (or two years equivalent education or experience).
- Must be responsible, reliable, and able to perform job functions without direct supervision.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, auto liability insurance, and a reliable vehicle to transport person‑served (required).
- Willing to drive within a 30‑mile radius.
- Proficient with technology and possesses a smart device with adequate data.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills for documentation, support plans, and collaboration.
