Astrin Biosciences is developing breakthrough liquid biopsy-based proteomic diagnostic tools and precision therapy selection to transform early cancer detection and cancer treatment. As an integral part of our clinical laboratory team using our proprietary proteomic methods, this role will conduct tests on patient blood samples to detect the risk of the presence of cancer.

Responsibilities- Accession and process patient specimens for testing and research studies following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare and sterilize reagents, chemical solutions, and assay plates for molecular protocols
- Execute study protocols independently and document results in paper and electronic systems (LIMS) with high accuracy and strict adherence to timelines
- Sterilize materials using autoclaves and standard decontamination methods to maintain a clean, orderly environment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on lab instrumentation to ensure operational readiness
- Follow safety guidelines and regulatory compliance (CLIA/CAP) at all times
- Support lab management by tracking inventory and optimizing workspace organization
- Manage multiple priorities effectively to meet high-volume productivity and quality benchmarks
- Maintain cell cultures, including incubator monitoring and specialized media preparation
Required
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a bioscience-related field
- Background having either conducted biological experiments in a laboratory setting or processed human blood specimens for clinical diagnostics
- Hands-on experience operating both electrical and nonelectrical biological laboratory equipment
- Willingness to handle potentially hazardous substances (flammable liquids, biohazards, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially Excel)
- Ability to work autonomously, follow instructions carefully, and communicate effectively in a highly dynamic environment
- Experience in standard cellular and molecular biology techniques (cell culture, ELISA, cell-based assays, immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry staining, flow cytometry, western blotting, microscopy)
- Experience in proteomics applications and mass spectrometry
- Experience working with automated pipettors
- Prior experience in a regulated lab environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- Laboratory techniques: 1 year (Preferred)
- Clinical laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
