The Human Resources (HR) Generalist leads our HR function to meet the diverse needs of our business. Balancing the needs of our business with the well‑being of our employees, this role champions a culture of engagement and development, leveraging stay interviews, training initiatives, and proactive measures to enhance employee development, satisfaction, and retention. The HR Generalist works closely with department heads, designing and implementing robust programs to guide our employees through their roles while fostering a culture of continuous growth.

This role is expected to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, meticulously administer policies and programs, and align them with organizational objectives. They are responsible for steering the full spectrum of HR operations, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compliance. This role is perfect for a resourceful and practical individual with a hands‑on approach. This is a hybrid role that would be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday).

  • Proactively maintain strong employee retention through surveys, pulses, and stay interviews
  • Work with other department heads to continuously build training, professional development, and promotion programs for employees
  • Address employee relations issues by providing guidance, coaching, and support to leaders and employees

  • Identify and administer competitive benefit offerings and 401k plan; fully manage open enrollment process

Be the HR Compliance Champion:
  • Maintain personnel files
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and HR programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and compliant with professional standards, state, and federal regulatory requirements and laws
Be the HR Operations Partner:
  • Direct the full hiring process:
    Actively recruit, interview, and offer positions to qualified candidates
  • Facilitate employee onboarding; revising and documenting processes for improved overall new hire experience
  • Advise and coach managers and supervisors on HR policies and programs
  • Provide input on organizational structure
  • Collaborate with company leadership to thoughtfully communicate, manage, and implement company‑wide change
  • Develop and execute performance management initiatives including employee reviews, performance improvement plans, and corrective actions
  • Be a key partner and administrator for separations, exit interviews and offboarding
  • Provide input on annual department budget
Be an Organization Superstar:
  • Administer semi‑monthly payroll in conjunction with the Finance Director
  • Maintain and update Trainual, our Knowledge Base System
  • Reply to employment verification requests as needed
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation program
  • Liaise with our IT Services provider to manage technology assets
  • Liaise with outside HR support as needed
  • Office management tasks including things such as asset management, ordering office supplies, and scheduling meetings
  • Other duties and projects that support key company initiatives as assigned
What You Bring to Summit 360:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources – including areas of employee relations, benefits and compensation management, and performance management
  • Resourceful and practical in nature
  • Process‑oriented with a hands‑on approach
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively plan ahead
  • Experience recruiting and interviewing qualified candidates
  • Diplomatic skills – ability to handle difficult or sensitive issues effectively and tactfully
  • Ability to work with integrity, fairness, and maintain the utmost confidentiality

  • Organized and strong written and verbal communication skills
