A Day in the Life Medtronic's HR Shared Services Team helps deliver HR support and services at scale by executing standardized HR processes, partnering with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence, and focusing on continuous improvement, innovation, and automation to support a smooth employee experience. Located at Medtronic's headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, this role is onsite four days per week.

The HR Shared Services Specialist provides centralized HR support across employee benefits, leave of absence, disability, and related HR programs. The Specialist serves as an escalated point of contact for employee and manager inquiries, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional service while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to policy and service level expectations. The role partners closely with internal HR teams, payroll, and external vendors to resolve issues, support annual benefits activities, and maintain data accuracy across HR systems.

In addition, the role contributes to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance the employee experience, and improve operational efficiency through better systems, documentation, and automation. The Specialist may also support reporting, audits, testing, and HR system updates or configuration as needed.
