Manufacturing Operations Technical Support Specialist (Contract)

Department: Global Print Production Strategy & Operations

Location: Eagan, MN (Onsite)

Schedule: 1st Shift (8-hour days), with occasional after-hours support for production events and critical incidents

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on IT Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for our print manufacturing operations. You'll troubleshoot hardware, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and production technology to keep manufacturing running smoothly with minimal downtime.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working independently, and taking ownership of issues from start to finish.

What You'll Do Manufacturing & Print Technology
  • Troubleshoot and support plant-floor printers, including print quality, connectivity, paper jams, and hardware issues
  • Replace consumables and hardware (toner, drums, etc.)
  • Coordinate with vendors on escalated printer issues
  • Help maintain the overall health of the print fleet
  • Provide hands‑on support for Windows and macOS desktops and laptops
  • Install software, configure new devices, and perform hardware deployments
  • Support mobile devices, monitors, docks, scanners, badge readers, and other peripherals
  • Troubleshoot Windows updates, Bit Locker, endpoint encryption, and security‑related issues
  • Manage and resolve tickets using Service Now or a similar ITSM platform
  • Document issues, resolutions, and recurring trends
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and printer supplies
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Assist with hardware refreshes, software rollouts, printer upgrades, and other infrastructure projects
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to processes and systems
What We're Looking For Required
  • Experience providing hands‑on IT support in an enterprise or manufacturing environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple issues, and stay composed during production‑impacting incidents
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Familiarity with Service Now or another ITSM platform
  • Knowledge of print manufacturing equipment or production workflows

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $26.48-$31.48/hr USD.
