Position: Attorney Product Specialist (contract)

This position is part of the Trust & Reliability Team within the Product Management Organization.

About the Role

Thomson Reuters is seeking an Attorney Product Specialist to join our Trust & Reliability Team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of litigation practice experience within a law firm or in-house setting.

In this role, you will play a key part in upholding the reliability and value of CoCounsel, the world’s first AI legal assistant, within our Product Management Organization. You will provide critical feedback on CoCounsel’s applications and collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists to optimize the platform’s performance and capabilities. Your insights will directly contribute to delivering exceptional value to leading law firms and in-house legal departments worldwide.

This position requires strong subject matter expertise in legal practice, along with a demonstrated aptitude for technology—particularly in the area of generative artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and forecast practical litigation use cases for lawyers leveraging the CoCounsel platform.
  • Monitor and evaluate CoCounsel’s ongoing performance and provide structured feedback to technical teams.
  • Identify innovative applications of generative AI within legal practice.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in legal prompt engineering.
  • Occasionally collaborate with Business Development and Sales teams on preparation of pitch materials.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Bar admission (any U.S. jurisdiction) required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of litigation experience (including arbitration and mediation) in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Substantial experience using online legal research and practice tools such as Westlaw, Practical Law, Lexis, Relativity, Intelligize, and Everlaw.
  • Civil litigation experience preferred.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40-45/h USD.
