Tire and Battery Service Advisor

Position Summary

Sam's Club #4738 at 3035 Denmark Ave, Eagan, MN , is looking for a Tire and Battery Center Associate. The role focuses on maintaining the safety and organization of the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor, providing expert service to members, supporting sales and service excellence, and ensuring compliance with safety, product, and company policies.

• Maintain facility and sales floor safety standards by conducting regular safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous material handling requirements, and reporting unsafe situations.
• Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
• Stock merchandise, set up, clean, and organize product displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise appropriately, and secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
• Monitor tire and battery orders daily and assist members with appointments for installation, communicate lead time changes and cancellations, and provide alternative suggestions.
• Assist members with tire maintenance and repair services and provide expert recommendations using product knowledge and reference materials.
• Drive sales and service excellence by communicating the value of merchandise and services and collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings.
• Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, refer to Sam’s Garage for waiting members, and coordinate with the Team Lead or Technicians to maximize efficiency.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety, compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, and point‑of‑sale systems.
• Leverage technology and handheld devices to plan sales, improve service experience, make real‑time decisions, and encourage adoption of new tools.
• Serve as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service and products, and assist in training team members.
• Operate TBC equipment safely, receive/store/dispose merchandise, complete vehicle service requests and tests, and maintain required documents.
• Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges using appropriate procedures for membership and payment types.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and the Open Door Policy, applying them in daily operations.
• Collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners to set priorities, meet deadlines, and identify improvement opportunities.

• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• Minimum age 18 years old.

• Experience in the auto service industry.
• Retail experience.

Hourly wage range: $21.00 – $29.00 per hour. The actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the location.

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, and specific work performed.
