Emergency Response Environmental Field Laborer
Location: Eagan, MN
Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $36.00/hr
Clean Harbors is seeking an Emergency Response Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety‐conscious team. The role will be active in the field and responsible for tasks associated with hazardous waste clean‑up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
Requirements include:
- Driver's license required
- Monday through Friday schedule, average start time 6 am
- Average 8‑10+ hour days. Overtime after 40 hrs.
- Must be available for emergency response and occasional project work (evenings & weekends)
- Possible overnight travel – hotel and per diem provided
- New hires are required to attend a two‑week out of state Training Academy (expenses covered by the company).

Responsibilities:
- Ensure health and safety by following policies, procedures, and acting safely.
- Engage in physical labor, including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
- Operate light and heavy equipment, hand tools, and powered industrial tools.
- Wear and properly use PPE, including respirators and other protection.
- Work in various weather conditions and at various temperatures.
- Work in atmospheres with potential exposure to hazardous agents.
- Work in elevated noise levels, confined spaces, and at elevations such as ladders and scaffolding.
- Assist in field sampling and meter calibration.
- Climb ladders, scaffolding, trucks, tanks, and containers.
- Work extended (>8 hr) periods.
- Attend compliance and safety update meetings.
- Inspect drums for integrity and compliance.
- Safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste.
- Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely operate vehicles per DOT and other requirements.
- Observe all corporate and environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical functions per responsibilities.
- Agreeing to be on‑call for emergency response (may work weekends/holidays).
- Successfully complete background check, drug test, and physical.
- Meet OSHA respirator facial hair standards.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous relevant labor experience.
