Pay range: $124,000 - $155,000
YOUR ROLEIn this position you will manage fiscal and operational oversight of a station, drive quality service, customer satisfaction and operational proficiency, and help attain growth and profitability goals.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?- Manage all station functions to ensure that all departments and station staff execute service agreements at or above the customer's standards.
- Maximize profitability through superior customer service, effective and prompt communication, and follow‑up on all pending matters with the customer.
- Guide managers with daily leadership and overall support on operations, communication, human resources, revenue enhancement, standardizing procedures, and systems applications.
- Ensure freight is expedited in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure the station facility provides a clean, professional and safe working environment for all employees.
- Review activity, cost, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward business development goals; evaluate P&L performance and establish short‑term goals to address budgetary shortfalls.
- Oversee business development, sales and marketing, and new account development to maximize transportation revenue for the station.
- Develop and execute policies, plans, and programs to meet anticipated organizational needs and ensure compliance with corporate policies, ISO standards, Sarbanes‑Oxley, and other regulatory requirements.
- Communicate directives, rules, and procedures to all station personnel and maintain safety methods and programs.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED;
Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline preferred. Minimum five years of relevant experience, three years of supervisory or management experience, and four years in industry preferred. - Credentials: Valid state‑issued Driver’s License and Forklift Driver Certification. Other professional certifications may be required.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web‑based and job‑specific software applications supporting the supply chain or transportation industry as well as financial applications.
- Characteristics: Expertise in operations and business management; experience providing leadership for multiple geographically dispersed sites; strong project management capabilities; ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and set priorities; exceptional written and communication skills including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate, and make formal presentations.
