Job Description Summary
As a Traveling Senior Project Manager for Hunt Electric Corporation, you will oversee the planning and execution of advanced electrical projects nationwide, from automotive assembly plants to mission‑critical data centers. Your role includes managing project finances, facilitating communication, fostering collaboration among internal departments and external clients, building and maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring compliance.
Role & Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of project financials: monitor billings, projections, cash flow, and ensure accuracy.
- Assist with development of proposed change orders and communicate cost and schedule impact to clients.
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external teams.
- Direct and supervise general foremen, crews in compliance with contracts, union agreements, and company policies.
- Address office and/or field concerns to maintain job‑site morale and customer expectations.
- Manage assigned projects economically while maintaining commitment to quality workmanship, industry image, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare, process, and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary for contract performance.
- Plan project through purchasing, engineering, subletting, and installation.
- Assist with Cost Codes/WBS/SOVs/Phases, estimating, and project comparisons.
- Identify project concerns and work with senior leadership to improve overall project health.
- Attend monthly meetings to review project financial standing with team, partners, and customers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Willing and able to co‑locate at the project location with a travel package aligned with Hunt Electric’s traveling plan.
- 8+ years managing complex electrical projects, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and codes (NEC, OSHA).
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, mentor staff, and align efforts with project goals.
- Skilled in resource allocation, cost control, and maximizing profitability.
- Expertise in risk management, conflict resolution, and ensuring smooth execution.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Bluebeam, Accubid Enterprise) and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards in the electrical industry.
- Track record of delivering large‑scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
This position operates at an industrial job site and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and noise. Closed‑toed shoes, a hard hat, and eye protection may be required. Work is performed in a professional construction office environment. Employees are frequently required to sit, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl. The position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Pay Range$ – $. Compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The posted amounts reflect base hourly, monthly, or annual salary only. Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan (see below).
