Electrical Construction Service Project Manager

Job Description Summary

The Special Services Electrical Project Manager position is responsible for marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting for small to medium sized electrical construction and maintenance projects. Hunt Electric's Special Services group primarily works on Commercial, Health Care, Data Center, and Light Industrial projects. This Special Services Project Manager will manage a variety of projects with a focus on Airport, Data Center, or Health Care markets.

• Maintain existing projects, clients and develop new customer relationships to secure future business.
• Direct and supervise service technicians, general foremen, foremen and their crews in compliance with contracts, union agreements, and company policies.
• Manage projects economically while ensuring customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, and a positive industry image.
• Prepare, process, and maintain project files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing.
• Direct the planning of the project through purchasing, engineering, subletting, and installation.
• Collaborate with the team during the bidding process when necessary.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience working as a project manager in the electrical industry.
• Ability to understand design/build requirements and the scope of contract documents for electrical work.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the electrical industry.
• Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and field labor coordination.
• Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to train, delegate, and coordinate work of Assistant Project Managers, Estimators, and other team members.

This role operates in a professional office environment and occasionally requires presence on construction job sites. The job may involve moving mechanical parts, uneven terrain, vibration, and noise, requiring the use of hard hat, work boots, high visibility vest, eye protection, and gloves. Employees frequently sit and may occasionally kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl. The position requires the ability to lift files and occasionally lift 25 pounds.

Pay Range: $92,160.00 – $. Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed reflect base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only.
