Job Description Summary
As a Senior Project Manager at Hunt Electric Corporation, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning and execution of advanced electrical projects throughout the upper Midwest. You will manage project finances, facilitate seamless communication, foster collaboration among internal departments and external clients, build and maintain customer relationships, oversee project teams to fulfill contractual obligations, and ensure compliance. This role demands precision, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Role& Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of project financials.
- Monitor project billings, projections, and cash flow to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with development of proposed change orders and communicate cost and schedule impact information to the client.
- Maintain and develop relationships with internal and external teams.
- Direct and supervise general foremen, foremen and their crews to comply with contract terms, union agreements, and company policies.
- Address office and/or field related concerns to maintain jobsite morale and customer expectations.
- Manage assigned projects efficiently while upholding quality workmanship, industry image and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare, process, and maintain all files, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing necessary for contract performance.
- Direct project planning through purchasing, engineering, subletting, and installation.
- Assist with project Cost Codes/WBS/SOV’s/Phases, estimating, and project comparisons.
- Identify project concerns and work with senior leadership to improve overall health of the project.
- Attend monthly financial review meetings with Project Executive, Partners, and Customers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of electrical construction operations experience.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and codes (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams, mentor staff, and align efforts with project goals.
- Skilled in resource allocation, cost control, and maximizing profitability.
- Expertise in identifying risks, resolving conflicts, and ensuring smooth execution.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Bluebeam, Accubid Enterprise) and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory standards in the electrical industry.
The job is performed in a professional office environment. Occasional on‑site presence is required. Tasks include standing, kneeling, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Use of a hard hat, work boots, high‑visibility vest, eye protection, and gloves may be required on job sites.
