Position OverviewWe are looking for an Assistant General Manager who will be a key member of our leadership team and responsible for assisting the Managing Partner with daily club operations, including sales success, member satisfaction, and facility cleanliness at Crunch Fitness – Undefeated Tribe.
What You’ll DoAs the Assistant General Manager, you will support a high‑care, high‑performance culture that operates with speed and determination in delivering outcomes. You will be responsible for creating a warm, kind, and hospitable club, allowing everyone to achieve their goals in a “no‑judgment” environment. You will lead a team of Member Service Representatives, Cleaning Attendants, and Kids Attendants.

- KPIs consistently met or exceeded, with clear performance standards, ongoing coaching, and performance management driving individual and collective achievement
- Delivery of member and guest experience through high hospitality
- True operations partner to the Managing Partner—owning scheduling/labor, asset/inventory management, facility cleanliness, and front desk oversight
- Club runs smoothly with 100% policy/procedure compliance, crisp facility standards, and full utilization of Crunch tools for communication, documentation, and operations
You positively influence others and create alignment and forward movement. You develop strong knowledge of established processes and serve as a reliable resource for the team. Your communication is clear, direct, and focused on helping the team move forward confidently. You bring consistent energy and commitment to challenging work, making thoughtful, timely decisions and maintaining strong accountability for results.
Responsibilities- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high‑performing staff of Member Service Representatives to maintain proper staffing levels at all times
- Monitor scorecard performance of the staff to meet or exceed expected KPI standards
- Lead by example by delivering personal and team performance targets
- Manage team member performance standards, with ongoing development, training, and coaching
- Impact member retention by delivering the “Wow 10‑Member Experience”
- Assist and support the Managing Partner in scheduling and labor management, member service resolution with pace and empathy, resolving or escalating employee issues, lead generation and outreach to impact new member sales, and new member acquisition and integration into all services and programs offered
- Set team member goals, develop plans, and conduct regular staff meetings
- Supervise club asset management, including inventory reconciliation, supply ordering, and small equipment expenditures
- Involve and supervise all front desk related activities
- Maintain a crisp, clean facility with equipment operating 100% of the time by ensuring compliance with the Daily Cleaning Checklist and facility/equipment work order oversight
- Utilize Crunch‑specific tools to communicate, document, and support overall club operations such as incident reporting, facility standards, internal communications, and process integration
- Ensure consistent compliance with all Crunch policies, procedures, and service standards
- 2 years of fitness and/or customer service‑oriented management experience preferred
- Experience executing objectives quickly and effectively, including achieving required KPIs
- Experience leading and/or supervising employees preferred
- CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Understanding of labor control, optional staffing levels, and control of overtime
- Ability to maintain high standards at the gym
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and judgment that inspires trust, setting examples in all behaviors and actions
- Requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and may require standing or bending for prolonged work hours
- High school diploma or GED required
- $38,000 - $42,016 (depending on experience)
