Sustaining Project Manager Office - Manager (MedSurg) - Hybrid - Eagan, MN​/San Antonio, TX

Role Overview

The Manager, Sustaining PMO reports to the Med Surg R&D PMO and partners with cross‑functional leadership to drive effective portfolio management and predictable project execution across Solventum’s product lifecycle.

• Lead strategic planning, budgeting, scope, and schedule decisions for sustained product initiatives.
• Mentor and develop project engineers, managers, and program managers for released and commercial medical device products.
• Facilitate structured governance meetings and provide data‑driven updates on progress, risks, and resource needs to senior leaders.
• Build and maintain consistent governance processes and improve real‑time reporting using tools such as Microsoft Project Server, Accolade, and PLM.
• Collaborate with functional leaders on resource planning, workload forecasting, and staffing alignment.
• Contribute to annual operating plans and long‑term strategic planning for product lifecycle, market expansion, and cost optimization.
• Drive corporate initiatives to enhance program and resource management tools and capabilities.

• Undergraduate degree in a technical field and at least 10 years of experience in medical device development, engineering, operations, or project management in a regulated industry.
• Minimum three years of formal leadership or people‑management experience within a program‑driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills and experience reporting to executive leadership.
• Preferred:
  Advanced degree (MBA), PMP or ACP certification (or willingness to obtain within one year).
• Strong experience with Microsoft Project and Project Server, including implementation or enterprise‑level deployment.

Competitive base salary ranging from $163,200 to $224,400, plus variable incentive pay where eligible. Eligible benefit packages include medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid absences, and retirement benefits. Hybrid work is available with travel to Eagan/San Antonio up to three days per week and up to 25% domestic/international travel.
