We are seeking a Principal Implementation Quality Consultant. This role leads quality strategy, implementation readiness, testing governance, risk management, and delivery confidence for complex client implementations and enterprise initiatives. This senior leader serves as a quality consultant, implementation advisor, and trusted partner to implementation teams, business stakeholders, technology organizations, operational teams, external clients, vendor partners, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Lead implementation quality strategy, readiness planning, governance, testing strategy, risk management, and implementation health assessment for large, complex initiatives.
- Serve as the primary quality leader throughout the implementation lifecycle, translating business objectives, client commitments, delivery constraints, and quality expectations into actionable plans.
- Partner with implementation, product, technology, operational, vendor, and business teams to define quality expectations, success criteria, milestones, dependencies, and delivery recommendations.
- Facilitate strategy workshops, readiness reviews, governance forums, planning sessions, and decision discussions with executives, clients, and various teams.
- Guide stakeholders through ambiguity with structured recommendations and risk-based assessments.
- Develop and present executive-level reporting on implementation health, readiness, delivery confidence, and risks.
- Identify implementation, conversion, testing, integration, operational, and delivery risks early, then establish readiness checkpoints and quality gates.
- Monitor testing progress, quality indicators, readiness metrics, and implementation trends to recommend mitigation actions.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: This position requires 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, implementation delivery, consulting, program leadership, or related disciplines. This includes 5+ years leading large-scale implementations, enterprise initiatives, or client-facing delivery programs. Experience developing testing strategies, quality plans, readiness assessments, governance frameworks, and executive-level recommendations is necessary. Demonstrated success in facilitating decisions, influencing outcomes without direct authority, building stakeholder alignment, and managing risks across large programs is also required.
Skills: Strong written, verbal, presentation, meeting facilitation, workshop leadership, and stakeholder communication skills are required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience leading healthcare, pharmacy benefit manager, payer, government, or other regulated-industry implementations.
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements.
- Experience with test automation, test data management, performance testing, enterprise quality capabilities, executive dashboards, and readiness reporting.
- Experience in implementation consulting, professional services, client delivery, program leadership, solution delivery, or governance frameworks.
- Certification in quality engineering, software testing, project management, agile delivery, or a related discipline.
