  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system, device, and industrial network issues during commissioning
  • Support basic PLC configuration and startup using platforms such as Allen‑Bradley and Siemens
  • Configure and integrate automation devices including VFDs, motor starters, remote I/O, and control panels
  • Install, configure, and test network‑connected devices and industrial communication systems (Ether Net/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP)
  • Support IP addressing, network setup, and communication path verification
  • Work with Ethernet switches, fiber optic systems, and structured cabling infrastructure
  • Configure and commission IO‑Link devices, masters, and gateways per project requirements
  • Document commissioning activities including test results, deficiencies, and system configurations
  • Communicate progress and coordinate closely with engineers, project managers, electricians, and contractors
  • Ensure all work meets safety standards, project specifications, and quality expectations
Qualifications

You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical systems
  • Strong understanding of control systems, field instrumentation, and electrical fundamentals
  • Hands‑on experience with I/O checkout, commissioning, and system startup
  • Basic PLC configuration and troubleshooting experience (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Experience with IP addressing, industrial networking, and device integration
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, loop drawings, and network diagrams
  • Experience working with Ethernet switches, gateways, and distributed I/O systems
