Position: Fabricator I ($25 - $27/hr.)

Hartzell Engine Tech

Hartzell Engine Tech is a leading OEM supplier and aerospace technology company headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, with additional locations across the US and Canada. The company provides engine accessories and heating solutions that meet the demanding challenges of today’s aircraft systems. Its portfolio includes Hartzell Aerospace Welding (Eagan, MN and Edmonton, AB), which supplies quality aviation exhaust systems and custom metal fabrication, including certified welding, precision machining, and sheet metal fabrication.

Key Responsibilities

Perform various metal assembly functions such as riveting, drilling, countersinking, grinding, shearing, fabricating, etc.

Operate fabrication tools such as shears, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.

Sand and deburr metal parts.

Utilize parts washers to clean and dry piece parts and small tubular assemblies.

Carry out other manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience

HS Diploma or GED required.
Target to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
Willing and able to follow verbal and written work instructions.
Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
General manufacturing assembly and fabrication experience preferred.

Required Technical Competencies

Mechanical Aptitude – demonstrated examples showing competency to work with hands (e.g., body work skills, crate repair, general wrenching, construction work).

Manual Dexterity – ability to perform detailed handwork.

Experience with Process Standards – demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute written instructions.

Computer Skills – experience entering and retrieving data from a computer.
