Position: Fabricator I ($25 - $27/hr.)

Hartzell Engine Tech

Hartzell Engine Tech is a leading OEM supplier and aerospace technology company headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, with additional locations across the US and Canada. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various metal assembly functions such as riveting, drilling, countersinking, grinding, shearing, fabricating, etc.
  • Operate fabrication tools such as shears, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
  • Sand and deburr metal parts.
  • Utilize parts washers to clean and dry piece parts and small tubular assemblies.
  • Carry out other manufacturing responsibilities as assigned.
  • Requirements

    Education and Experience
    • HS Diploma or GED required.
    • Target to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
    • Willing and able to follow verbal and written work instructions.
    • Physically able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
    • General manufacturing assembly and fabrication experience preferred.
    Required Technical Competencies
  • Mechanical Aptitude – demonstrated examples showing competency to work with hands (e.g., body work skills, crate repair, general wrenching, construction work).
  • Manual Dexterity – ability to perform detailed handwork.
  • Experience with Process Standards – demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute written instructions.
  • Computer Skills – experience entering and retrieving data from a computer.
