Operator in Press – 3rd Shift
Location:
Eagan, Minnesota. Shift: 10:30p.m. – 6:30a.m. (3rd Shift). Occasional overtime up to 4hours per day and occasional weekend shifts.
You will be responsible for operating state‑of‑the‑art offset and digital web presses, providing operational management and technical support as a member of the Core Publishing Solutions team. For this role, you are eligible for a $2,500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days.
Responsibilities- Assist the crew on the press; perform setup and production activities, typically on the back‑end of the presses to ensure smooth operation.
- Prepare for upcoming jobs by reading the DSR and job specifications and staging materials.
- Quality‑check products for customers; complete transactions, bundle and tag products.
- Fill in for Lead and Mid‑Level Operators as needed, covering absences or breaks.
- Monitor equipment and product quality, maintain housekeeping procedures, and document activities on Tier Boards and relevant systems (MII, SAP), including material usage, equipment issues, and troubleshooting.
- Use safety equipment to comply with state and federal regulations, report all safety and environmental hazards, and attend safety and environmental training programs to ensure compliance and a culture of safety.
- High school diploma or higher (vocational/technical degree strongly preferred).
- Experience working in an industrial setting in a maintenance and troubleshooting capacity with a wide range of production machinery is strongly desired.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills; competent with rulers and measurement.
- Thorough understanding of electrical safety and safe work practices such as the use of personal protective equipment and following machine instructions and production orders.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 5lbs. above the shoulder, push, pull, and lift at least 10lbs, occasionally up to 50lbs.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, and kneel.
$4.00 per hour 2nd shift differential, $5.00 per hour 3rd shift differential, bonus plan, and $2,500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days.
