3rd Shift Manufacturing Lead

Job Overview

Location: Eagan, Minnesota

Shift: 3rd Shift – Sunday-Thursday 10:00PM-6:00AM (must arrive 30 minutes prior)

Training: Must be able to train on the First Shift (Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:00PM) for approximately one month or as long as needed.

• Set‑up and operate CNC vertical machining centers.
• Read and interpret component prints or drawings, make calculations, and resolve technical problems.
• Use measuring devices (calipers and micrometers) with proficiency.
• Understand G&M codes and macro programming; enter and edit programs to ensure proper machine operation.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Apply machining process knowledge to produce quality parts.
• Conduct first‑piece and hourly inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
• Understand and perform preventative maintenance for CNC machining centers based on defined schedules.
• Apply 5S and workplace organization principles; maintain each work area within these guidelines.
• Complete parts at established production rates.
• Maintain metric documentation and daily reporting of work‑center performance (KPIs: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a CNC machinist.
• Advanced degree or trade school education preferred.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with supervisors and co‑workers.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Safety‑first attitude.
• Physical ability to reach, grip, and carry up to 50 lbs.; frequent standing, stooping, bending, squatting, and walking.

$23 – $29 per hour with $1.75 shift differential.

Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, 401(k), and bonuses.

Prefer to focus on Haas machinery; wood industry experience is not highly transferable. Mostly machine operator work with back filling for lead when necessary.
