Job Title
#3 Operator in Press
About the RoleAs a #3 Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating state‑of‑the‑art offset and digital web presses, supporting the Core Publishing Solutions team, and ensuring smooth press operation.
Responsibilities- Assist the press crew performing setup and production activities, typically on the back‑end of the presses.
- Prepare for upcoming jobs by reading the DSR and job specifications, and staging materials.
- Quality check products for customers, complete transactions, and bundle and tag products.
- Cover for Lead and Mid‑Level Operators as needed, including absences or breaks.
- Monitor equipment and product quality, maintain housekeeping procedures, and document activities on Tier Boards and systems such as MII and SAP.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and attend safety and environmental training to ensure compliance.
- High School Diploma or higher; a vocational or technical degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in an industrial maintenance and troubleshooting capacity with a wide range of production machinery.
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, proficient with rulers and measurement.
- Thorough understanding of electrical safety and safe work practices, including personal protective equipment and machine instructions.
- Ability to lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder, push, pull, and lift 10–50 lbs. occasionally, and perform recurring standing, walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling tasks.
- Base hourly pay range of $18–$34, with shift differentials of $4.00 per hour for 2nd shift and $5.00 per hour for 3rd shift; bonus plan available.
