As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for bending, seating, flanging and top flanging material according to work order and production drawing specifications in a manner that achieves safety, quality, efficiency and lean production goals. Willingness to learn and operate other manual fabrication operations such as shear, weld, punch press, paint, and CNC is required. This is a full-time, 1st shift position.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm, with overtime as needed.

• Operate press brake and other manual fabrication equipment to manufacture parts according to prints and work orders. (75%)
• Perform quality inspections to drawings and specifications per procedures using equipment such as calipers, micrometers and tape measure; communicate with department leadership regarding issues and improvements. (15%)
• Package finished products in cartons, apply labels, and palletize finished products; gather and stage work; maintain a clean work environment. (10%)

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 3 years of related experience and/or training
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machine operating properly
• Selective attention – concentrate on a task over time without distraction
• Mathematics – knowledge of arithmetic, addition and subtraction
• Active listening – give full attention to others, ask questions, and avoid interrupting at inappropriate times

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear, and occasionally sit. The role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8–12 hours, with frequent twisting and bending in repetitive motion. The employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50pounds and heavier weights using proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
