General Laborer

Our client, a leading organization in Chemical Manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join their team. As a General Laborer, you will be an essential part of the operations team supporting freight handling and material movement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong work ethic, attention to detail, and teamwork skills, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: General Laborer

Location: Eagan, MN

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Type: 5-Month Contract with likely conversion to permanent

Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00AM - 3:30PM

• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with relevant information
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material needs
• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets
• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of experience preferred in manufacturing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively
• Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail
