Production Supervisor

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the Beneficiation Plant, ensuring production targets, quality standards, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency are achieved. This role plays a key part in optimizing plant performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

The successful candidate will monitor plant operations, support continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure maximum equipment availability and process efficiency.

• Plan, schedule, and monitor plant production activities to achieve production goals and performance targets.
• Ensure optimal operation of beneficiation plant equipment and systems.
• Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues affecting plant performance.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record plant performance metrics.
• Identify process bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Ensure operating parameters are maintained within established standards.
• Recommend equipment upgrades or process enhancements when necessary.

• Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

• Effectively manage manpower, materials, and other resources to minimize downtime.
• Optimize resource utilization while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational requirements are met.

• Prepare and maintain reports related to plant performance, productivity, and downtime.
• Track and report key operational metrics and resource utilization.
• Maintain accurate production and consumption records.
• Provide recommendations based on production data and performance trends.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in beneficiation operations or similar processes within the mining, metals, or steel industry.
• Experience supervising plant operations and production activities is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of beneficiation processes, equipment, and plant operations.
• Understanding of production planning and process optimization.
• Familiarity with industrial health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Proficiency with production reporting and performance monitoring.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

• Lean Manufacturing Certification.
• Six Sigma Certification.
• Process Optimization or Continuous Improvement certifications.
