Manager, Media Strategy

As the Manager of Media Strategy, you'll lead the development and execution of media strategies that drive brand growth, customer engagement, vendor outcomes and retail performance. This role helps ensure media investments are executed accurately, optimized for performance and measured against business objectives. You will partner closely with internal teams, agency partners, and the Best Buy Ads organization to deliver insight-driven media plans that connect brands with shoppers in meaningful ways.

This role requires strong media expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to translate business objectives into effective media recommendations and measurable results.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

• Lead the development and execution of integrated media strategies that align with business objectives, category priorities, and shopper needs.
• Manage a portfolio of media campaigns, overseeing planning, optimization, and performance to drive measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with media agencies and cross‑functional teams, including marketing strategy, sales, creative, analytics, and channel owners, to build aligned and effective media plans.
• Translate audience insights, business goals, and performance data into actionable recommendations that improve media effectiveness and investment decisions.
• Support measurement and reporting efforts by evaluating and presenting campaign results, identifying key learnings, and applying insights to future strategies.
• Stay current on media trends, retail media capabilities, and emerging opportunities to strengthen media planning and performance.

• 6+ years of experience in media strategy, retail media, digital marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience developing and executing integrated media plans across digital and shopper marketing channels.
• Experience partnering with media agencies and cross‑functional teams to develop and execute integrated marketing or media programs.
• Ability to translate data, insights, and business objectives into compelling media recommendations.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience working within a retail media network or shopper marketing environment.
• Familiarity with omnichannel media planning, performance measurement, and campaign optimization.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across teams.
• Direct or indirect people or resource leadership experience
