The Volunteer Management Assistant is a part‑time, on‑site role based in Eagan, MN. This role supports the volunteer program by helping with scheduling, tracking hours, and maintaining accurate volunteer records. Responsibilities also include creating custom reports and having a strong working knowledge of the volunteer database system – Volgistics. This position works closely with staff and volunteers to ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and efficient volunteer experience that supports The Open Door’s hunger relief programs.

• Manage all aspects of volunteer database (Volgistics); creating/modifying shift structure, creating/modifying reports, assisting Volunteer Manager and volunteers using the system.
• Assist in supporting volunteers across the organization, including onboarding, training, recognition/appreciation, and orientation.
• Update volunteer resources as needed (job duties, training aids, procedures).
• Support staff across the organization as needed.
