Schedule
:
- Week 1:
Thursday, Friday (12‑hour weekday shifts, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM) - Week 2:
Monday, Tuesday (12‑hour weekday shifts, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM) - May require flexibility to float to other Summit locations as needed.
- Transfer the discharged patient weighing up to 200 lbs to awaiting transportation independently via wheelchair or other available modes of transportation.
- Assist in the safe transfer of patients from cart to chair, from chair to wheelchair.
- Act as a nursing assistant to an RN who is recovering pediatric patients.
- Restock, label, and maintain inventory; submit requisitions; collect and distribute instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment. Perform environmental maintenance duties and assist in maintaining inventory levels throughout the Center.
- Respond to requests for assistance from the professional staff to the level of competence attained.
- Verify that equipment functions properly. Requisition repair or replacement of surgical instrumentation; remove defective instrumentation from general service.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Dispose of filled suction and trash containers; empty full linen hampers.
- Document maintenance activities when required.
- Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality.
Summit’s hiring range for this position is $18.77 to $23.46 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. Final base salary will be determined based on skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
- Basic Life Support Novice
- High School or better
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience (preferred)
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Basic Life Support
