Compensation
Pay Range: $11.41 - $20.30 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
Responsibilities- Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations of the store.
- Prepare for a management position in another store or future location through hands‑on training.
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and the team members assigned.
- Professional: all delivery and installer service specialists.
- Retail: all parts and merchandising specialists.
- Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members under your supervision in partnership with the district manager and store manager.
- Communicate all information from team weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members assigned to you.
- Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure a qualified selection.
- Support the store manager by working with the assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and provide appropriate training for all areas.
- Monitor and reinforce safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with or without the store manager and, if assigned, make weekly customer calls.
- Support the store manager in store operations as assigned.
- Maintain the delivery fleet and keep vehicle records up to date.
- Ensure store cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Perform electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll using the electronic scheduling and time‑keeping system and payroll entry functions.
- Manage key components of gross profit.
- Monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse.
- Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
- Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily.
- Review the monthly P&L statement with the store manager and discuss areas of opportunity.
- High school diploma.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
- Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.
- Desired: O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience.
- Completed O’Reilly management training program.
- Advanced computer skills.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
