We welcome driven recent graduates and career changers ready to launch or pivot into sales. With comprehensive training in product knowledge, processes, and procedures, we provide a supportive environment to help you succeed from day one in this stable, growing organization.

The ideal candidate arrives eager to learn and grow into the role, with a proactive mindset, strong desire to build lasting customer relationships, and genuine hunger to succeed. If you’re excited to develop your skills, contribute to team success, and build a long‑term career, this is the perfect opportunity.

As part of the Central Parts Sales Team, you’ll handle overflow parts inquiries from across our region in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment. You’ll interact with multiple customers simultaneously, fielding questions, taking orders, making outbound calls, and processing paperwork. Prior experience in inside sales or parts counter work is a plus but not required

You’ll leverage your selling and negotiation skills to promote our extensive product lines to existing and potential clients, upsell opportunities, recommend alternatives when needed, and resolve inquiries/complaints promptly and courteously. In this team‑oriented setting, you’ll track performance metrics, maintain our CRM database, follow/enhance sales scripts, and focus on building lasting customer relationships through friendly, engaging communication.

Interstate Companies, Inc. is a dynamic organization with approximately 1,700 employees across our corporate office and five operating units:
Interstate Assembly Systems, Interstate Bearing Systems, Interstate Energy Systems, Interstate Power Systems, and I‑State Truck Center. Since our founding in 1957 as one of the world's first Detroit Diesel Engine distributors, we’ve been committed to recruiting career‑oriented people who seek fulfilling work and real opportunities for professional growth. Our employees live our "Pride in Service" motto, delivering exceptional customer service every day.
