Position Overview

Ben Quie & Sons is seeking a relationship‑driven Residential Remodeling Sales Consultant to guide homeowners through the remodeling process from initial consultation through signed agreement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative sales, building trust with homeowners, and helping clients confidently navigate larger residential remodeling projects. The ideal candidate combines strong communication and organizational skills with a solid understanding of residential construction and remodeling.

This position works closely with leadership, design, estimating, and production teams to deliver a seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities Client Consultation & Relationship Management
  • Lead homeowner consultations and discovery meetings
  • Understand client goals, vision, expectations, and budget
  • Educate homeowners on the remodeling process, timelines, and project expectations
  • Build trust through professionalism, communication, and responsiveness
Sales & Project Development
  • Manage consultative residential remodeling opportunities from lead to signed agreement
  • Evaluate project fit with company capabilities and values
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop project direction, budgets, and proposals
  • Guide homeowners through decision‑making and contract execution
Pipeline & CRM Management
  • Maintain organized sales documentation and follow‑up processes
  • Manage active opportunities and sales pipeline effectively
  • Utilize CRM systems and proposal software
Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with design, estimating, and production teams
  • Support smooth project handoffs and communication across departments
  • Contribute positively to team culture and collaboration
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of consultative sales experience in residential remodeling, custom homes, design‑build, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of residential construction and remodeling processes
  • Ability to confidently discuss construction concepts and project expectations with homeowners
  • Experience managing longer sales cycles and higher‑value projects preferred
  • Consultative sales training experience (Sandler or similar methodologies) is a plus
  • Experience with CRM systems and proposal software
  • Appreciation for historic homes, traditional craftsmanship, and quality residential construction is strongly preferred

Compensation & Benefits Compensation
  • Base Salary: $50,000-$60,000 annually, depending on experience
  • On‑Target Earnings: $100,000-$125,000 annually
  • Performance‑based compensation tied to closed projects and overall sales success
