Responsibilities
Repair, install, and adjust automatic swinging and sliding commercial doors.
Accurately complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, quality assurance check sheets, and walk customers through the services rendered on each job.
Present a neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
Use basic power tools provided by the company.
Qualifications- At least 2 years of experience in the commercial door industry.
- Experience with automatic doors, storefront doors, and electrified hardware.
- AAADM certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
- Knowledgeable in electrical wiring and integration into card access systems.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
- Proficient in safe and effective use of power and hand tools.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach above head with hands and arms, lift, push, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl, pull, talk, and hear.
- Must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Capable of bending, standing as necessary, and moving or lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- High School Graduate.
- 3-5 years minimum in the Security and Access Control systems field.
- Power Limited License (PLT) required.
- Work as an apprentice LV technician for 40 hours per week.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to pass the Electrician’s Trade Aptitude Test.
- Attend class one day per week through Joint Apprenticeship Training Program (free).
Pay range: $38.21 to $47.73 per hour, negotiated under the terms of the union agreement.
