ECSI Experienced Fire Alarm Technician

Responsibilities

• Wire and install Fire Alarm systems for residential and commercial customers.
• Verify and test installed systems.
• Work as an apprentice LV technician (40 hours per week).
• Attend a class one day per week through the Joint Apprenticeship Training Program.
• Be willing to travel to job sites.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time‑management skills.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Proficient with PC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Self‑motivated with a strong work ethic and dependability.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
• Computer networking background a plus.
• Notifier experience preferred.

• Exposed to weather conditions.
• Frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch or crawl.
• Ability to bend or stand as necessary.
• Ability to move and/or lift objects regularly up to 50 pounds.

• High school graduate.
• 3–5 years minimum in the Fire Alarm systems field.
• Power Limited License (PLT) required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass the Electrician’s Trade Aptitude Test.

• Apprentice LV technician program; typically takes about 3 years to complete and become licensed.
• Wages are based on the union scale and increase based on the number of hours worked.

This position is covered by the MN Limited Energy collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $38.01 to $51.07 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. Compensation details are determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to base compensation, Hunt Electric offers a robust benefits plan.
