Position: Diesel Mechanic - Fleet Technician A

Diesel Mechanic A

Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in Eagan, MN. This role requires working independently.

Shift

Full-Time 2nd Shift – Tuesday–Friday 4:10 s – 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Off Saturday–Monday.

Pay

Ranges $32.00–$38.00/hr + additional $1.00/hr for shift differential. Additional CDL incentive pay ($1.00 with active CDL A or B license). Pay based on experience/qualifications.

Position Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, and related parts)
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system
  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software when applicable
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, while ensuring compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices
  • May require driving Reyes vehicles; requires a current driver qualification file and, for CDL holders, a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and FMSCA clearinghouse review
  • Some travel may be required
  • Other projects or duties as assigned
Required

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 3+ years of related experience
  • Must possess own tools
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with DOT regulations to operate company vehicles
  • Valid CDL (License

    A) highly desired; mandatory in some locations
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Technical school certification
