Our client, a leader in critical infrastructure support, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team. As a Data Center/ Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting facility maintenance and technical operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician - Data Center Facilities
Location:Eagan, MN
Pay Range:$38-42/hr.
What's the Job?
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems within data center environments.
- Follow strict procedures and safety protocols to ensure the integrity of critical infrastructure.
- Assist with building inspections, managing work orders, and supporting operational projects.
- Monitor utility usage, energy management, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Conduct walk-throughs, check temperature readings, and respond to operational irregularities.
What's Needed?
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working in a data center or critical facility environment
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs safely and work at heights up to 30 feet.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work diverse shifts, including weekends and overtime.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable following detailed procedures and learning new technical skills.
