Salary Range: $20.00 to $20.50 hourly

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support, crisis intervention, and safety planning to individuals and families staying at the Lewis House emergency shelter who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual assault, and to answer crisis hotline calls. Shelter operates and is staffed 24/7. This is a relief or on‑call position with a minimum of 2 shifts per month to remain employed.

Availability may include call‑ins for unplanned absences or coverage of scheduled absences.

• Demonstrate commitment to the agency’s mission statement and core values at all times. The mission statement is “360 Communities delivers safety and stability that improves lives.”
• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referrals, and ongoing support and services as needed to domestic and sexual violence victims/survivors and their family members, including in‑person, walk‑in, or over the phone via the crisis line(s).
• Provide holistic advocacy services and resources to Lewis House residents—safety planning, child/adult education, community connections/resources, housing, financial, legal (excluding legal advice), building support networks, and other identified services.
• Follow up from police reports/calls and assist victims/survivors with initial needs, such as emotional support, resources, safety planning, protective order assistance, safe housing screening, and more.
• Assist with day‑to‑day shelter duties: cleaning bedrooms/turnover, organizing food orders, helping residents with daily chores, general health/safety cleaning, making copies of needed forms/documents, accepting/sorting/distributing donations, and working with volunteers.
• Respond to hospital calls at Fairview Ridges and Regina hospitals to provide support to victims/survivors during forensic exams during scheduled work times.
• Depending on schedule, training requirements, and program needs, facilitate or participate in:
  • group activities at Lewis House (house meetings, family activities)
  • weekly case consultations with other advocates
  • educational support groups for victims/survivors
  • housing assessments with residents
  • Safe at Home applications
• Maintain accurate data for statistical purposes and narratives for service delivery provisions.
• Participate in or provide feedback to various work groups to help advance best practices for staff wellness, client services, and other initiatives.
• Actively attend staff meetings—including 360 Communities All Staff Meetings, VPI Staff meetings, Shelter Team Meetings, and Reflective Supervision Groups.
• Pursue training opportunities for ongoing professional development and stay current on trends related to the work.
• Perform other duties as needed or requested.

• One to two years of related experience working with victims of domestic and/or sexual violence.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
• Completion of 40‑hour sexual assault training prior to employment is preferred; if not completed, must be obtained within six months.
