Location: Eagan, Minnesota (Remote)
Role OverviewWe are seeking a mid‑to‑senior level Data Engineer to design, build, test, and support data integrations. This role involves implementing solutions for integrating with third‑party vendors and establishing new data patterns. The position requires a professional who can contribute to solutions independently while collaborating with technical leads and solution architects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design of technology solutions to ensure they meet resiliency, stability, and functional requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and support existing data systems and platforms.
- Implement integrations with new third‑party vendors.
- Establish and build upon new and existing data patterns for various programs.
- Manage work direction and provide feedback to other team members.
- Own technology solutions, including proactive monitoring and developing a technological roadmap.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the data engineering space.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is required. A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, including application development or package software implementation. Experience with data integration and batch processing is necessary.
Technical Skills- Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience with data pipeline development.
- Understanding of data governance principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without a need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with GCP services, particularly Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow).
- Experience with claims data or in the PBM/healthcare industry.
- Knowledge of streaming or batch processing pipelines (e.g., Apache Beam, Dataflow).
- Experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
