10 is currently seeking a Healthcare Payer Quality Engineer position with a Regional Health Insurance Provider located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract-to-hire opportunity. This is a hybrid position - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote. Compensation: $70.00- $80.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:

This is a configuration-focused Quality Engineering role supporting a major technology transformation within the healthcare payer space. The Quality Engineer will join a collaborative Scrum team and take ownership of functional, automated, configuration, integration, UAT, and end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate will understand how healthcare payer systems and data interact, collaborate directly with business SMEs to validate real-world healthcare workflows, and build automated regression coverage for system and configuration changes.

Candidates should have strong experience in at least one of the following healthcare payer domains:
Provider, Medical Management, Product & Benefits, or Claims. Experience across all four domains is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and system configurations, design test strategies, debug defects, and maintain functional and automated test coverage for new and existing systems. Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a Scrum Master, Product Owner, analysts, Application Development Engineers, and other Quality Engineers to deliver high-quality functionality to production. Work with analysts, business partners, customers, and technical teams to define requirements, test scope, expected outcomes, and acceptance criteria.

Take ownership of functional, automated, configuration, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing. Coordinate UAT and end-to-end testing with business SMEs to validate real-world healthcare workflows and outcomes. Test new healthcare system configurations and build automated regression suites around configuration changes. Validate complex data and data flow across interconnected systems using SQL and other appropriate testing methods. Validate integrations that may involve ETL, orchestration layers, APIs, EDI, batch files, or other system-to-system methods.

Support migration and cutover testing, including legacy-to-new-system comparisons, data validation, and phased rollouts Maintain requirements-to-test traceability through final sign-off and appropriately scope regression testing. Coordinate testing activities and defect triage across multiple systems and teams. Communicate testing status, risks, defects, and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Learn the healthcare applications and configuration tools associated with the assigned domain and develop into a subject-matter expert.

Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and mentor other team members when appropriate. Primary Requirements:
Approximately 3–4+ years of relevant Quality Engineering or software testing experience Healthcare payer experience with a strong understanding of how healthcare domains, workflows, and systems work together Strong knowledge and experience in at least one of the following healthcare payer domains:
Provider Medical Management Product & Benefits Claims Quality Engineering experience that includes both functional testing and test automation Hands-on automation experience using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or a comparable automation framework; experience with one specific framework is not required. Python experience for test automation or scripting Strong SQL experience, including the ability to validate complex and large data sets across systems and integrations QMetry experience Jira and Git Lab experience

Experience with configuration, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing Strong understanding of data flow and integrations between interconnected systems Ability to test system configurations and build regression tests and automation suites around configuration changes Experience working directly with business SMEs and technical teams to establish expected outcomes and resolve defects Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, curious,…
