Pickleball Instructor - Assistant

Pickleball Instructor - Assistant. The City of Eagan is looking for positive and enthusiastic people from all backgrounds who have a passion for Pickleball. The person hired for this position is responsible for assisting in the instruction of adults at various levels and ages in the fundamentals of pickleball. Performs a variety of duties including assisting the Lead Pickleball Instructor in teaching pickleball lessons and events.

• Assists with the implementation of the curriculum for adult pickleball lessons and events
• Assists with conducting lessons/events in accordance with established lesson plans provided by the Lead Pickleball Instructor
• Provides feedback to the Lead Pickleball Instructor on participant engagement and participation; maintains professional relationships with participants to instill safety and cooperation
• Provides suggestions and feedback to the Lead Pickleball Instructor regarding improvement of the pickleball program
• Creates and maintains a positive public image, while being responsible and dependable

• Age 18 or older
• Basic knowledge of the principles and skills of the game of pickleball

• PCI Certification
• Previous experience assisting or teaching pickleball in a camp or lesson setting
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and daytime
• Current CPR, AED, First Aid Certification

• Ability to mentor, instruct and encourage participants to improve skill and ability
• Ability to teach sportsmanship and general etiquette
• Ability to work with others in a courteous, tactful, and professional manner
• Confidence working alone or with a group of people

• The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to excessive at times
• The employee is often required to move or shift up to 25 lbs
• The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, run, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance, reach, talk loudly, and hear for long periods of time
• The employee must be able to react quickly and spontaneously

• Hours vary and are based on scheduled programming
