Overview
Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a Shuttle Driver for the Hampton Inn, Eagan, MN.
Position pays $15 hourly.
PositionShuttle Driver responsible for transporting guests to and from designated locations in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner, using safe driving practices.
Responsibilities- Comply with all traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport terminal or other designated sites.
- Remain calm and alert during emergencies or high hotel activity and handle complications from driving in the local community.
- Listen, understand and respond immediately to customer and employee inquiries and requests for assistance. Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Lift luggage, packages and boxes from cars, buses, vans and carts, placing items on the ground, onto baggage carts, conveyors or other vehicles.
- Clearly communicate the features and services of the hotel facilities.
- Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
- Ability to use a hand-held computer device.
- Maintain cleanliness of the hotel vehicle by cleaning and washing it when appropriate.
- Take vehicle for periodic servicing and fueling as required.
- Assist in valet when necessary.
- Assist other departments as directed.

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger.
- Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English to ascertain and document appropriate pick up and drop off points, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid Class II Driver’s License issued by the state in which the hotel is located required. Provide evidence of insurability based on risk control factors established by the company insurance provider.
- No prior experience required. Prior driver, hospitality, bell person or door person experience preferred.
