Material Handler

Overview

Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full-time Material Handler in Eagan, Minnesota.

Warehouse positions pay weekly. This role involves handling furniture with state-of-the-art equipment in a safety-first environment.

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within the performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Manage day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for aspects related to the automated packing system during core production hours.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible and able to adapt to a diverse work environment.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual with good attendance.
• Ability to perform work with minimal supervision and a high degree of initiative; high level of accuracy, even under pressure.
• Physical ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; ability to work in health and safety compliant methods.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule across various shifts.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
