Job DescriptionThe Sr Cost Specialist will play a crucial role in overseeing project cost control within EPC and renewables environments. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in cost forecasting, budget management, change management, and cost/risk trend analysis. The role is project-based and involves translating complex cost data into actionable insights for project leadership.
Responsibilities- Manage and control project costs, ensuring budget adherence and financial efficiency.
- Conduct cost forecasting and risk trend analysis to anticipate project needs.
- Implement change management strategies to adapt to project variations.
- Provide clear and concise cost-related insights to project leadership.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills and software such as JDE and/or Eco Sys for cost management.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial goals are met.
- 7+ years of experience in project cost control or project controls within EPC and renewables environments.
- Strong expertise in cost forecasting and budget management.
- Proficiency in change management and cost/risk trend analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE and/or Eco Sys required.
- Ability to translate complex cost data into clear insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Procore is preferred.
- Willingness to be on project site Mon-Fri for a 22-month long project.
This is a full-time position eligible for full benefits. The role requires being on the project site in Eagle Mountain, UT, for 75% of the time over a 22-month period. Assistance with lodging is offered if not already residing in the area.
