Summary
Manage four storeroom team members and issues relating to that department; manage employee safety. Acquire parts on an emergency basis. Interact with all department managers. Must be willing to work variable hours and shifts and perform additional duties as assigned by management. Ability to cross reference parts and work in a fast‑paced atmosphere. Ability to multitask multiple projects and provide daily feedback to management.
Track and improve Key Performance Indicators to ensure a balance of risk and value are considered on all inventory items. This position operates in a fast‑paced environment and requires exceptional organizational skills.
- Manage four storeroom team members.
- Ensure employee safety.
- Acquire parts on an emergency basis.
- Interact with all department managers.
- Work variable hours and shifts, perform additional duties as assigned.
- Cross‑reference parts and work in a fast‑paced atmosphere.
- Multitask multiple projects and provide daily feedback to management.
- Track and improve Key Performance Indicators to balance risk and value for all inventory items.
- Work weekends as needed based on operational demands.
- Education beyond high school including special training in Accounting, Inventory Control, Business Systems or college courses preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of stock inventory control, storeroom issues, and return of inventoried parts.
- Ability to manage new storeroom items and audit parts for accounting accuracy.
- Knowledge of maintenance CMMS systems and MRO parts for a Maintenance department.
- Experience managing Vendors and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) desired.
- Leadership experience and managing the work of others in a detail‑oriented culture preferred.
- Military Logistics or Supply training will be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self‑starter with the ability to follow up with vendors and parts suppliers.
- Ability to provide simple, clear direction to team members to execute, follow‑up and report action items.
- Skills in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of maintenance CMMS systems.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Copilot or other AI experience preferred.
- 1-5 trips per year as the need arises.
