Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to lead and continuously improve our Quality Management System across a growing portfolio of nutritional supplements, wellness products, and consumer packaged goods. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction while serving as the primary quality liaison between internal teams and external manufacturing partners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food manufacturing, or related regulated industries and have a proven track record managing supplier quality, GMP compliance, audits, CAPA programs, and quality systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality policies, procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Lead quality system reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality metrics and KPIs to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
Supplier & Contract Manufacturer Quality
  • Manage supplier qualification, approval, and ongoing performance monitoring programs.
  • Conduct supplier and contract manufacturer audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve supplier documentation, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), specifications, and quality agreements.
  • Partner with external manufacturers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Regulatory & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third-party certification audits.
  • Maintain documentation and records required for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Product Development teams on product launches, formulation changes, and labeling reviews.
CAPA & Quality Investigations
  • Lead investigations related to non-conformances, deviations, complaints, and product quality concerns.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Track CAPA effectiveness and ensure timely closure of quality issues.
Product Quality Oversight
  • Review and approve batch records, product specifications, testing results, and release documentation.
  • Oversee incoming ingredient and finished product quality programs.
  • Manage product hold, rejection, disposition, and recall readiness procedures.
  • Monitor stability, testing, and product performance programs.
Customer Complaints & Continuous Improvement
  • Manage customer complaint investigations and trend analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Micr Our Clientology, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and cGMP requirements.
  • Experience managing supplier quality and contract manufacturing relationships.
  • Experience leading audits, CAPA programs, and quality investigations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership abilities.
Preferred
  • Dietary supplement, nutraceutical, functional food, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with 21 CFR Part 111, Part 117, or related regulatory frameworks.
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), HACCP, PCQI, ASQ, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with third-party certifications and quality management software systems.
