Position: Janitorial Clerk - Full Time

Description

Position is Courtesy Clerk duties at the store, providing customer service, maintaining the store environment, and supporting merchandising and operations. No prior experience required; basic communication and physical ability are needed.

Position Requirements

Licenses: None required.

Minimum age: 18 years of age.

Reason ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.

Experience: None required.

Equipment: Any necessary equipment to complete maintenance clerk duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.

Promote a high level of morale within department and store, utilizing friendly professional methods of honest and open communication.

Maintain good working relationships with other department managers with the objective of improving sales storewide.

Comply with all company policies, programs and directives as specified in the Code of Conduct.

Provide professional examples for other store team members to follow.

Although many guests appreciate your efforts, you are not permitted to accept tips. If the guest persists, the money should be turned into the service desk. (NV – exception)

Assist store and department managers with janitorial duties.

Cleaning and re-stocking restroom supplies.

Trash removal from all work areas.

Vacuuming all carpeted areas throughout the store.

Dusting and light window cleaning.

Mopping of floors with machine and with manual mop.

Additional Requirements

Communication: Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken words to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

Equipment: Any necessary equipment to complete maintenance clerk duties.

Experience: Able to work varied schedules as assigned. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull and lift approximately 10-50 pounds repetitively. A good demonstrated work record.
