Safety is always FIRST with Tyson Foods and at Tyson, all Team Members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Position:
General Maintenance Technician – Facilities Department (Day shift, 12‑hour rotating 2,2,3 schedule with weekend work; overtime required).

• Keep machinery running to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient production.
• Complete computerized training programs using the Tyson SAP software.
• Master skills in equipment installation, maintaining, inspecting, and repairing hydraulic systems, plumbing systems, air systems, and electrical devices; read P&IDs; operate powered industrial lifting equipment; interface with operation personnel.
• Use math to calculate machinery speeds, ratios, fluid capacities, and critical dimensions.
• Perform tasks in a refrigerated environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to 45°F.
• Bend, twist, reach, and move around the department; work on the floor and on or under industrial equipment.
• Lift up to 50 lbs if required.
• Complete all required skilled trades training courses necessary for the required time period.

• Must have at least (12) twelve months of industrial Maintenance experience in (2) two or more of the following disciplines:
  Rotating machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical distribution, motor control, construction, carpentry, Automotive or powered industrial trucks, plumbing, HVAC, prime power, or landscaping (experience may be from multiple employers as long as it totals at least (12) twelve months).
• Completion of an Industrial Maintenance/Automation technology certificate from a US‑based technical school with classroom and hands‑on training will be considered in lieu of experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and interpret equipment manuals and technical instructions.
• Oral and written communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Willing and able to perform all required physical tasks and complete all necessary background checks.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
