Responsibilities

Position summary:

Responsible for directing, modifying and administering the physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist after evaluation. The PTA aids with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.

All employees are required to work on any shift and units as needed by the hospital. This means you may be required to work when and where the hospital needs your skills.

• One (1) year of previous experience in aspects of rehabilitative medicine preferred.
• Associate degree from a school or college accredited and approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current Texas License as Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS required.
