AVIR at La Hacienda is an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. Full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities are available.
Position Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans.
- Provide skilled speech-language therapy services in a subacute rehabilitation setting.
- Treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment strategies and recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with professional, facility, and regulatory standards.
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required as applicable.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation is preferred.
- New graduates with appropriate licensure and credentials are encouraged to apply.
