Join Our Rehabilitation Team!AVIR at Eagle Pass is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. We are hiring for both Full-Time and Per Diem opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys providing hands‑on, patient-centered care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve their functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
Position Responsibilities- Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents’ needs and goals.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, therapeutic exercises, functional activities, mobility, coordination, and fine motor skills.
- Monitor residents’ response to treatment and communicate progress or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
- Provide education to residents and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, safety, and functional activities.
- Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with OTs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in care planning and support residents in achieving their functional goals.
- Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current NBCOT certification or eligibility as required.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting is preferred.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident‑focused approach to care.
