Responsibilities
Provides nursing care for patients in the Labor and Delivery Unit and Post Partum Unit (Women’s Services). Documents care given and provides leadership and guidance for subordinates.

QualificationsMust have Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas. BLS/CPR Required.
Preferred AWHONN FHMPP basic course. ACLS and NRP required within six months of hire. AWHONN FHMPP basic course completed by the end of nursing orientation and AWHONN FHMPP intermediate completed by 3 to 6 months of L&D start. AWHONN FHMPP advanced completed 18-24 months after L&D start.
For all experienced Labor and Delivery RNs, maintain AWHONN FHMPP Intermediate or Advanced every 2 years.
Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
Education:
Graduate of a state approved school of professional nursing practice. Maintains current licensure in the State of Texas.
