American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room Circulator position requiring at least 3 years of OR experience and active TX or compact RN licensure.
Details- 13-week contract in a hospital operating room setting
- OR Circulator role focused on operative procedure support
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour shifts starting at 6:30 AM
- 40 hours per week
- On-call required 1–2 days per week and 2 weekends per month
- Active TX or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA-issued only)
- Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of prior U.S. hospital experience in the specialty required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- BSN highly desired
- US Social Security Number required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures
- Prepares the OR for the patient and surgical procedure, including assembling equipment and supplies and verifying availability of implants
- Adheres to aseptic technique standards and departmental protocols
- Consults and coordinates with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans
- Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and members of the operating team
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
